TUNISIA - SEEB

Candax shares a 50/50 ownership in the SEEB power facility with its partner, Caterpillar Power Ventures Inc.

The SEEB power plant is a 27 megawatt, single cycle operation located at the El Bibane central processing facility and the majority of its gas supply originates from the El Bibane field. SEEB utilizes up to 7 MMcf/d of gas sourced from both the El Bibane and Ezzaouia oil fields, and supplies electricity to STEG, the Tunisian power entity.

The SEEB plant is a flagship, independent power producer (IPP) for Tunisia, as it utilizes gas that was previously being flared and, as one of the first IPPs, provides a low cost source of electricity for the country.
