Al Manzah (WI 75%)

Al Manzah

The field began production in 1999 and at the end of 2004 had cumulative oil production of 1.7 MMbbls. Al Manzah watered out in late 2004 and was acquired by Candax with no attributed reserves in the “Centurion acquisition”.

Approximately 100,000 bbls net to Candax have been produced since December 2005 following a successful workover completed in August 2005. The well watered out in late 2007 and production ceased.

Production from Al Manzah was characterized by a very energetic dynamic system with clear movement of fluid contacts. Having been shut-in the field will have partially re-segregated, and it is likely that modest volumes of oil are readily accessible. However, the final (failed) work-over may have rendered the existing well useless. It is anticipated that, following further study, this field can resume production via a new well. The reservoir is shallow at approximately 800 metres.
